Section 4(1) (b) in The Right to Information, Act, 2005

(b) Publish within one hundred and twenty days from the enactment of this Act, - 

 

  • (i)                  The particular of its organization, function and duties,

       -      The Legal Metrology is concerned with units and accuracy of measurement in relation to the mandatory technical and legal requirements that guarantee the transparency of economic transactions, health, safety, the environment and enforcement of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and the Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2010

 

  • (ii)               The power and duties of its officers and employees

          -      To enforce the Legal Metrology Act and Rules, which is being enforced within the whole Mizoram. To maintain the establishment work under the Legal Metrology Wing. 

 

  • (iii)             The procedure followed in the decision-making process, including channels of supervision and accountability

         -     Every decision within the establishment is done through files and verbally sometimes as and when necessity arises.

 

  • (iv)             The norms set by it for the discharge of its function

            -    By giving written order almost all the functions are discharged.

 

  • (v)               The rules, regulation, instruction, manual and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharged its function

           -     Maintained safely in the Office of the Joint Controller of Legal Metrology.

 

  • (vi)             A statement of the categories of document that are held by it or under its control

         -     As in (v) above.

 

  • (vii)           The particulars of any arrangement that exist for consultation with, or representation, the member of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof

       -     There is no particular arrangement, however, various NGO’s or other public are representing in relation to the formulation and implementation as and when necessity arises.

 

  • (viii)         A statement of the board councils, committee and other bodies consisting as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to whether meeting of those boards, councils, committee and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public

 

       -     All these are opened to the public and the minutes of such meeting are accessible
